Chronic illness isn't just a physical journey, it's an emotional one too. Along the way, many people grieve the life they once had, their health, relationships, careers, financial security, confidence, and even their sense of identity. Be patient with yourself and remember that healing isn't always linear. Emotional healing is often the final piece of the puzzle. Give yourself grace, hold onto hope, and remember... you've got this.

Tanya's Tip: I believe writing our feelings, emotions, and fears down... pen to paper... helps us process them.
Grieving Process:
• Denial - This can't be happening
• Anger - Why me? Feeling frustrated or resentful
• Bargaining - Wondering "What if..." or replaying the past
• Depression - Feeling overwhelmed by everything you've lost
• Acceptance - Beginning to move forward and create a new version of life
Remember: Grief isn't linear. You may move back and forth between these stages, skip some entirely, or experience more than one at the same time. Be patient and give yourself grace.
• Prayer: Surrender to your higher power
During my darkest days I had a love-hate relationship with God, but I wouldn't be here without Him
